Hope For Us - still smoothing.
My ‘final verson’ posted for AnimationMentor.
There are still a few things to polish.
Mostly, I need to refine the hands.
I willl be smoothing out some hand overlaps
and working in more finger movements throughout the piece.
In January, I will be working on the face animation as part of class.
Animation takes forever to learn, as any experienced animator will tell you. In fact they’d probably say that it is a lifetime’s work: an ongoing learning experience. Since digital technology has become more affordable, there are greater numbers of people who’ve been able to learn the craft. Previously you had to be part of a large team for an established studio, but now you can learn at home and often find classes at nearby colleges.
The invention of broadband internet and CD/DVD technology also means that it is easier than ever for animators to disseminate their work. Even a few years ago, when dial up connections were prevalent, it was much more difficult for the public to watch streamed or downloaded animation. Now, finding and watching an animation online is easy and fast.
